Wanted: Area Directors

Oliver Group is searching for new Area Directors (AD). We are seeking independent self- starters to join our team in this exciting time.  The ADs will be key contributors to Oliver Group’s continued success in the leadership consulting industry through the marketing, sales, account management and delivery of consulting services and solutions within the skill set of the AD.

This position will report directly to the Director, Client Development and will have responsibility for generating revenue from new and existing clients and referrals, via the sourcing, development, and maintenance of business relationships as well as when appropriate, delivering consulting solutions and fulfilling client consulting engagement expectations.

Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar field
  • Advanced degree is a plus
  • 10-year track record of success in developing relationships in complex business environments
    • Experience networking with C and VP levels
    • Sales experience at the C-level, including prospecting, negotiating, closing and relationship development and client management
    • Proven ability to build trusting relationships with clients
    • Ability to influence others, with experience in customer-focused solution selling
    • Ability to present and support point of view constructively and persuasively
    • Ability to write proposals and implementation plans for services
    • Experience creating an effective and strategic sales plan including self-generated leads
    • Experience working with multiple services and variable solution opportunities
    • Experience working in an environment of high accountability
    • The ability to self-motivate as well as work collaboratively
  • Extensive knowledge of business/economic environment
    • Revenue generation
    • Margins/cost of sales
    • General and administrative costs
  • Minimum of 7 years of general business management experience
    • Budgeting
    • P & L responsibilities
    • Management team experience
    • Problem-solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill including excellent public presentation skills; Speaking experience is a plus
  • Background as a consultant a plus
