Participant PREP Work
You have been enrolled in the Leadership Transition Program®, Leading Others. The content of this program has been carefully designed to address the challenges and demands of the transition to your specific leadership level, and the exercises have been closely linked to your everyday working life and real-life situations.
Subject areas include:
- Setting objectives and prioritizing tasks
- Delegating and following up
- Coaching and developing direct reports
- Assessing and improving performance
- Selecting team members to build the team
- Time application
- Work values
In order for you to get the most out of the program, it is necessary that you complete a number of exercises individually prior to attending the program. You will find all of the necessary preparation exercises in this Participant PREP Work document that you will complete for your meeting with your direct manager. Please follow the timeline outlined in your LTP communications for completion of this document.
Direct Manager PREP Work
The conversation with your direct manager is meant to address what he/she deems as important success criteria for you as a leader in your current position and what leadership behaviors he/she thinks would benefit you most. You will need to save the Direct Manager PREP Work document and send it to your direct manager prior to your meeting with him/her. If you wish to email it directly to your manager as an attachment to an email, click on the link and open the document, then follow these instructions:
- In the menu options, choose ‘File’
- In the File options, choose ‘Send File’
- In the pop-up window, choose ‘Default email application’ or “Webmail”
Please note: If you do not have the most current version of Adobe Reader XI, you will need to download it in order to be able to save your work in these documents. If you do not wish to download this software, you will need to print the document and complete it by hand.
