The role of the Leader of Leaders is focused on leading through leaders. Training at this level is often overlooked. While Front-Line Leaders often receive adequate training, it is assumed that skills learned as Leaders of Others will easily adapt to these new roles. Leaders of Leaders are responsible for the majority of the hands-on workers of organizations, who do the companies’ service and product work. When they aren’t effective, the companies’ ability to perform is at a disadvantage.

Participants in the Leading Leaders Program will receive takeaways in the following areas:

  • Adding value with the roles
  • Linking to other leaders in the organizations
  • Developing and executing operational plans
  • Coaching and developing leaders to be more effective
  • Managing boundaries and allocation of resources among teams
  • Assessing and improving performance of leaders; identifying leadership potential
  • Selecting leaders to build organizations

Leaders of Leaders are the ones that hold the Leaders of Others responsible for the work of others, and they must learn to evaluate people based on the quality of their selection decisions, performance feedback, teamwork with other units and skills at leading teams. It’s important for companies to prepare this level of leadership, as Leaders of Leaders play strategic roles within companies and can help implement change.
